Ulmer finishes 9th; Smikle finishes 20th at NCAA DII Nationals

EMPORIA, Kan. - Eastern New Mexico track & field concluded the 2026 outdoor season at the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Emporia. Kennedy Ulmer finished with Second-Team All-American honors and 11 th place in the discus throw with a mark of 47.32 meters (155-3). Ulmer threw a 42.75-meter toss on her first attempt and 47.32 meters on her second attempt scratching her final attempt. Andre Smikle finished 20 th in the discus with a mark of 49.74 meters (163-2). Smikle scratched his final two throws. The rest of the championship meet will conclude tomorrow at Welch Stadium.
