WALNUT COVE — Allie Burgess always knew she wanted to keep playing. Now she has the place to do it. The South Stokes High School standout has signed to play softball at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute in Hudson, N.C., where she will pitch and play infield for the Cobras beginning this fall. Founded in 1964, CCC&TI is a public institution and is part of the North Carolina Community College System.
