Cedar Crest senior wins gold medal in PIAA girls 3A javelin

SHIPPENSBURG — It took all six throws for Eliana Schneider to take home gold. Cedar Crest’s senior athlete sealed first place in girls Class 3A javelin with a 160-11 foot throw, and earned her way to the top of the PIAA podium as a result. Schneider’s latest mark set a new personal record, and she made it happen on throw No. 6 to take home a gold medal. Zavier Gussett covers high school sports and local sports in Lebanon County.
