Mona Shores blanks West Ottawa in Division 1 district softball opener

LocalSportsJournal.com Mona Shores cruised through the Division 1 district opener on Friday with a 10-0 shutout of West Ottawa. Sailors’ pitcher Jaslene McHenry posted the victory as she struck on 13 and allowed four hits and a walk. Mady Faught led the Sailors at the plate with four RBI. Faught also had two hits which included a home run. Miley Peterson, Allison Silva and Grace Michelli each tallied two hits. Rae Olsen, McHenry, Jada Mosher and Aly Zalba added a hit apiece.
