Perez-Zoghbi Finishes National Runner-Up, Rewrites Record Book at NCAA Championships

EMPORIA, Kan. -- Cal Poly Humboldt junior standout Isabel Perez-Zoghbi etched her name into Lumberjack history on Saturday evening, earning national runner-up honors in the women's 800-meter final at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Emporia, Kansas. Perez-Zoghbi crossed the finish line in 2:02.95, finishing second in the nation by less than four-tenths of a second, while shattering her own school record by nearly two seconds.
