South Carolina announces cancellation of home-and-home series with North Carolina
A border football series that began in 1903 is once again going on hiatus, as South Carolina announced the cancellation of a home-and-home series against North Carolina. The series, which debuted with the Tar Heels upending the Gamecocks 17-0 in Columbia back in 1903, was last played in 2023 – with then-No. 21 North Carolina downing South Carolina 31-17 in Charlotte.
