Goldman and Mallampati Fall in NCAA Doubles Championships

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Pomona-Pitzer doubles team of Drew Goldman and Jay Mallampati saw their NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Doubles Championship appearance come to an end Saturday in the Round of 16. Facing the No. 3 duo of Bryce Ware and Trey Lambright from CWRU, the Sagehens fought tough but ultimately fell in straight sets, 2-6, 3-6. Goldman and Mallampati qualified for the NCAA Championships after a standout season as Pomona-Pitzer’s top doubles partnership.
