Former Firebird Bryce Schaum Signs With Milwaukee Brewers Organization

KENOSHA — Former Carthage baseball standout Bryce Schaum has signed with the Milwaukee Brewers organization after beginning the 2026 season with the Chicago Dogs of the American Association. The Chicago Dogs announced May 23 that Schaum’s contract had been transferred to the Brewers organization. Schaum made 13 appearances for the Dogs this season, including nine starts, compiling 36 strikeouts across 41.1 innings pitched. During his standout career with the Firebirds, Schaum established himself as one of the top pitchers in program history.
