SLU’s Visser and Brown Kick Off NCAA East First Round Challenge

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men’s and women’s track & field teams began the NCAA East First Round at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Facility Wednesday. Gerrit Visser started the meet off in the hammer throw. The graduate student placed 34 th among the 45 competitors in the event. Visser threw for 61.67 meters (202’4) in the event to mark the second-best throw of his collegiate career. The Bocholt, Germany native finished ahead of four Power 4 participants in the event.
