FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Long Beach State opened competition Wednesday at the NCAA West First Round hosted by the University of Arkansas, highlighted by Steven Evans-Glynn qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the men's long jump. Evans-Glynn secured a spot at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., after placing 10th in the long jump with a mark of 7.74m (25 feet, 4 ¾ inches). His qualifying mark came on his third attempt, earning one of the top-12 advancing spots to nationals.
