Sandoval Earns ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Selection

SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State University infielder Johan Sandoval has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-South Region Second Team as a second baseman, announced Wednesday by the American Baseball Coaches Association. A two-time All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, Sandoval was the only SSU player to start all 47 games for the Tigers this season. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native finished the season with a .369 batting average and a .585 slugging percentage.
