Wetteland named to D1Softball Freshman All-America Second Team
RENO, Nev. — Nevada Softball freshman Katie Wetteland was named to the D1Softball Freshman All‑America Second Team, becoming the first Wolf Pack freshman to earn national All‑American recognition since the program's reinstatement in 2003. Wetteland was selected at third base on the Second Team, joining an elite group of the nation's top first‑year performers. Wetteland delivered one of the most dominant freshman seasons in the country, starting in 53 games while hitting .400, posting a .490 on‑base percentage, and slugging .686.
