Women’s Lacrosse Welcomes Transfer Sophia Cardella to Program

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova women's lacrosse has signed junior midfielder Sophia Cardella to its 2026-27 roster. The Mendham, New Jersey native joins the Wildcats from the University of Florida, where she spent the past two seasons. Florida : Redshirted her freshman season in 2025 before making her collegiate debut on Feb. 25 at Stetson. As a redshirt sophomore in 2026, she appeared in seven contests, recording one goal, three ground balls, and one draw control.
