Buchanan Named to Canada 2026 FIFA World Cup Team
SYRACUSE, N.Y.- Former Orange men's soccer player Tajon Buchanan (2017-18) was named to the Canadian Men's National Team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the CANMNT announced on Friday, May 29. The forward from Brampton, Ontario, currently plays for Villareal in LaLiga. Buchanan has previously represented the CANMNT World Cup team in 2022 hosted by Qatar, making history by assisting the first ever goal scored by Canada's Men's team in a World Cup game.
