Jones & Shelton earn USTFCCCA Men’s 2026 Outdoor Region Coaches of the Year honors

NEW ORLEANS – The Salisbury University track & field head coach, Jim Jones , has been named Mid-Atlantic Outdoor Men’s Region Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday. Assistant coach, Jacob Shelton , was named Mid-Atlantic Men’s Region Assistant of the Year. Jones led the Sea Gulls to an eighth-place team finish at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, led by Kai Smith , who swept the 100 and 200 meters.
