Samayoa Named to D2CCA All-America Third Team

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Zech Samayoa of the Cal State San Marcos baseball team earned his second All-America nod of the postseason as he was named to the third team by the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). In his lone season at CSUSM, Samayoa set single-season records for home runs (23), RBIs (78), total bases (151) and slugging percentage (.868) as the team's designated hitter. The Cerritos native and designated hitter led the Cougars with a .362 batting average, 53 runs, 63 hits, 17 doubles and a 1.297 OPS.
