Aggies Wrap Up Day One at NCAA Championships
CARLSBAD, Calif. – Wheaton Ennis paced the No. 20 Texas A&M men’s golf team to open the NCAA Championships Friday morning at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. Ennis wrapped up the first round in a 15-way tie for 22nd place, carding a 1-under 71 on the par-72, 7,538-yard course. He sits just five strokes off the pace set by San Diego’s Ian Maspat, who surged into the early lead with a 6-under 66.
