Kurczewski and Marimon Wrap Up Competition at NCAA East Preliminaries

Brayden Goins Women's Track & Field May 30, 2026 LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Ava Kurczewski and Laurine Elisa Marimon wrapped up competition for Western Michigan at the NCAA East Preliminaries earlier this evening. Kurczewski battled hard in the 3K steeplechase, finishing 36th in the region with a time of 10:28.14. She was the highest MAC finisher in the event. To close things out, Marimon fell just short of qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the triple jump. She posted a top leap of 12.95 meters to break her own school record and finish 18th in the region. Print Friendly Version
