The island boys do it again. James Island’s baseball team won its third consecutive state championship on May 30, defeating Dorman 5-0 in a series-deciding Game 3 at River Bluff High School in Columbia. James Island finished the season with 31 wins and got superb pitching from Brandon Easterling and Taj Marchand. James Island allowed 15 runs in the first two games of the series before Saturday’s shutout.
