MATT FREIBAUM ELEVATED TO ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH

RICHMOND, VA. – VCU women's soccer Head Coach Lauryn Hutchinson announced the elevation of Matt Freibaum to associate head coach in May 2026. A season ago, Freibaum helped lead VCU to an Atlantic 10 quarterfinal appearance, seeing increases in nearly every offensive statistical category and improving both overall and Atlantic 10 win totals from the previous season under the first-year staff.
