ESPN recognizes Freeport girls basketball 2029 star Athiei Dhal

Freeport girls basketball standout Athiei Dhal capped a historic freshman season with national recognition. ESPN SportsCenter NEXT’s Terrific 25 rankings placed Dhal at No. 21 in the Class of 2029. She is ranked as the nation’s third-best post player and the second-best player in Florida, trailing only Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy guard Leila Bryant. Dhal received a four-star rating and a scout grade of 92 from ESPN. In 27 games, Dhal averaged 27.4 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks per game while shooting 69% from the field.
