Shipman named GIAA 3A Coach of the Year

Published 5:25 pm Thursday, June 4, 2026 VALDOSTA – Fresh off of leading Valwood to its first baseball state championship in school history, head coach Robert Shipman was named GIAA Class 3A Coach of the Year Monday. In his 13th season leading the Valiants, Shipman guided the team to a 28-4 record and an 11-1 mark in region play en route to a 3A District Region Championship.
