SCHSL hires Amy Boozer as Interim Commissioner, replacing Jerome Singleton

The South Carolina High School League voted unanimously on June 4 to appoint Associate Commissioner Amy Boozer as the interim commissioner of the SCHSL. Boozer will replace Jerome Singleton, who has been the commissioner for 21 years and is expected to retire this summer. Singleton still had five years left on his contract. Boozer previously served as the head coach of the volleyball and softball teams at Newberry High School, and also served as chair of the physical education department.
