IndyCar News: Newgarden Wins Rain Threatened Bommarito Automotive Group 500
After two red flags for weather conditions, Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden crossed the finish line in the No 2 Astemo Chevrolet to win the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Axalta and Valvoline under the lights. Andretti Global’s Marcus Ericsson, driver of the No. 28 Delaware Life Honda, had nothing left in his car to challenge Newgarden and finished second. Christian Rasmussen, driver of the No 21 Splenda Chevrolet, made several passes during the race but finished third. Rinus VeeKay, driver of the No 76 Juncos Hollinger Racing Chevrolet, did his best to finish fourth. More to follow…..
