12 Aztecs Honored as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

A dozen Aztecs garnered awards for thriving in the classroom. SAN DIEGO – San Diego State softball’s Shannon Cunningham, Emma French, Jayleen Hernandez, Julie Holcomb, Matti Kwarta, Lala Macario, Key-annah Pu’a, Montse Reyes-Cardenas, Mia Rodriguez, Candace Tarle, Jazmin Williams and Angie Yellen were selected as 2026-27 All-America Scholar-Athletes, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Monday. To earn the honor, a student-athlete must maintain at least a combined 3.50 GPA for both semesters of the school year.
