Dayton softball shuts out Indian Hills, advances to Group 1 final

OAKLAND - Julianna Santangelo struck out eight and scattered four hits across seven shutout innings as Dayton defeated Indian Hills, 1-0, in the Group 1 state semifinals on June 8. The game’s only run came during an unusual top of the first inning. Leadoff hitter Aubrie Cantagallo was out on batter interference for hitting the ball twice.
