Former Madison Central star Braden Montgomery to make MLB debut after White Sox call-up
A former Mississippi high school baseball star is set to make his Major League Baseball debut as Braden Montgomery is being called up by the Chicago White Sox, the organization announced on June 9. The former Madison Central product is the No. 2 White Sox prospect and No. 21 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. The 23-year-old switch-hitting outfielder was with the White Sox's Double-A, Birmingham Barons and Triple-A Charlotte Knight s this year. Montgomery is currently batting .314 with 10 home runs, 52 runs scored and 41 RBIs, and has played center and right field in the Minor Leagues....
