Royals’ Seth Lugo exits vs. Rangers after taking line drive off head

Kansas City Royals right-hander Seth Lugo was forced to exit Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers after a scary moment in the fourth inning. Lugo was hit on the head by a 106.6 m.p.h. line drive by Rangers outfielder Brandon Nimmo. The 36-year-old was immediately sent to the ground on the play, but stood up under his own power before team training staff could reach the mound. Nimmo, who was Lugo's teammate with the New York Mets from 2016 to 2022, ran to check on the veteran pitcher after time was called. There was a visible welt on Lugo's forehead...
