Lawrence Duo Headed to Fencing World Championships in Hong Kong
APPLETON, Wis. – Two members of the Lawrence University fencing team will compete on the international stage this summer after being selected by their respective countries to participate in the Fencing World Championships, set for July 22-26 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Rising sophomores Reya Farlam and Zaky Obeid earned spots at one of the sport’s most prestigious events following standout first seasons with the Vikings. Farlam will represent Great Britain in Women’s Épée, while Obeid will compete for Lebanon in Men’s Sabre.
