Mehringer books finals spot in 100m hurdles at NCAA Outdoor Championships
EUGENE, Ore. – Rachel Mehringer's record-setting season will reach the pinnacle of the collegiate sports season, as the Sycamore standout hurdler advanced to the finals of the NCAA Outdoor National Championships Thursday night. Mehringer, making her second national championships appearance, finished third in her heat and fifth overall in the 100m hurdles semifinals with a time of 12.79. The Sycamore junior was the fastest athlete outside of the automatic qualifiers, with her time being quick enough to advance to her first national final.
