Softball Lands Five on SLC All-Academic Team

FRISCO, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team saw five student-athletes honored in the postseason for their academic achievement as the Southland Conference released its 2026 All-Academic Team Thursday. Zoey Stewart , Jada Zepeda , Kendra Winfrey , Josie Whitehead , and Karisa Lopez were the Islanders' honorees on this year's All-Academic Team. Whitehead led the group with a 3.89 cumulative GPA in her kinesiology degree. Stewart and Zepeda each hoist a 3.66 cumulative GPA both in the psychology program.
