Four Section 1 girls lacrosse teams compete in the state semifinals at SUNY Cortland
Section 1 champions Suffern, Nyack, Rye and Pleasantville are competing on June 12 in the state semifinals of their respective brackets, two victories away from the ultimate prize. For the four Section 1 champions whose success this far has brought them to Cortland, the moments they've dreamed of and worked toward are now within reach. As the girls lacrosse season concludes this weekend, those local teams are among the last standing in their respective classifications, each needing two more wins to capture a long-awaited state championship.
