North Bay Battalion take first goalie of the OHL Draft in round one
The Battalion make some franchise history taking their first-ever goaltender to start an Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection The North Bay Battalion have been a breeding ground of many a good goalie in the last few years. This time they used some prime draft capital to add another. Owen Loftus of the Don Mills Flyers U16 AAA was first goaltender taken in the Ontario Priority Selection in Kingston Friday night. Loftus was the 11th pick overall in the first in-person draft in 26 years. This the first time the Battalion have ever taken a goaltender in round one. Article content...
