SFU Athletes Emma Cannan and Colton Plummer Selected for Team Canada 2026

Emma Cannan and Colton Plummer of SFU Track & Field are hitting the road this summer as part of the Athletics Canada 2026 NextGen European Tour Team. The tour put’s Canada’s 28 top emerging Olympic and Paralympic athletes in the middle of the European competitive season. The two will be training and competing out of Stuttgart, Germany from July 1-12. Cannan, an SFU communications major from Kelowna, BC, and Plummer an SFU health sciences major from Surrey, BC, both achieved major milestones during their 2026 varsity seasons.
