Colts Select Lucas Matheson 17th Overall in 2026 Priority Selection

The Colts made it a hometown affair on Day 1 of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, selecting Barrie native and Colts U16 AAA captain Lucas Matheson 17th overall in the first round. The 16-year-old defenceman posted 40 points in 34 regular-season games and now gets to lace up for the team he grew up cheering for.
