Perry alum Taylor Lovell wins NCAA 3,000m steeplechase title
Taylor Lovell is on top, at last. Lovell, a Gilbert Perry High alum who is now a junior at BYU, won the women's title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 13, running 9:21.03. It is the first national title for Lovell, who had finished in ninth place in the past two seasons. Lovell adds to the rich history and legacy of the steeplechase at BYU, which has now produced 10 individual national champions in the event across the women's and men's programs.
