Notre Dame football releases date for annual ‘Irish Wear Green’ game

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - For the fifth year in a row, the Notre Dame football team will wear green in South Bend. The university announced Monday morning in a social media post that the 2026 “Irish Wear Green Game” will be on Oct. 10 against Stanford. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. The team is encouraging fans to wear green for the matchup. The “Irish Wear Green” game has become an annual tradition since Marcus Freeman took over as head coach in 2022.
