Huntington’s Fitzgerald, McGilvra named to 3A Super Elite Team

A pair of Huntington baseball players earned postseason superlatives by being named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Class 3A Baseball Super Elite Team. Huntington pitcher Brendan Fitzgerald and infielder Alex McGilvra were both named to the 3A squad. Fitzgerald previously was named District 21-3A pitcher of the year and McGilvra was named the district’s defensive player of the year. Both played key roles in Huntington advancing to the Class 3A Division I state semifinals for the second straight season.
