Brian Shoop to be Inducted into ABCA Hall of Fame

BIRMINGHAM – Former UAB head baseball coach Brian Shoop will be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Hall of Fame in January 2027, the organization announced Wednesday. Shoop is one of seven members of the Class of 2027. The induction ceremony will take place during the ABCA Convention in Chicago on Jan. 8. Induction to the ABCA Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by the organization. The ABCA was founded in 1945 and the Hall of Fame began in 1966, with just over 350 inductees so far.
