Canadiens Sign Jakub Dobes To Three-Year Extension
Despite having one of the best goaltending prospects in the game, the Montreal Canadiens will continue to ride the hot hand. According to a team announcement, the Canadiens have signed netminder Jakub Dobes to a three-year, $16.07MM ($5.357MM AAV) contract. Montreal selected Dobes with the 136th overall pick of the 2020 NHL Draft. He wasn’t believed to be a high-level goaltending prospect, but after a pair of quality years at The Ohio State University, Dobes started to turn some heads in Montreal.
