Solomon Washington Signs With New Orleans Pelicans

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland men’s basketball forward Solomon Washington has signed a free agent contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. The native of New Orleans, who attended G.W. Carver High School which is in the Ninth Ward, is expected to join the team during the Summer League season. Washington averaged a career-best 9.8 points and 9.2 rebounds last year in his lone season at Maryland.
