Toronto’s World Cup journey ended with a bang on Thursday night. Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal advanced to the Round of 16 with a memorable win, knocking out Luka Modric and Croatia with a 2-1 victory at BMO Field. The streets of Toronto were packed with Portuguese-Canadians from hours before kickoff until the early hours of the morning, celebrating Gonçalo Ramos’ stoppage time winner.
