Trey Campbell signs NBA Summer League deal with Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS — Former UNI men’s basketball guard Trey Campbell has signed an NBA Summer League contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, as announced by the franchise on Sunday. The Cedar Falls native, who played four seasons for the Panthers from 2022 to 2026, is among 15 players set to play in the NBA Summer League this month in Las Vegas. Campbell averaged 10.4 points per game and shot 43% from the field in his four-year college career at Northern Iowa, notably becoming the first player in program history to record 1,000 career points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists.
