Javelinas announce hiring of Alex Vasquez-Sanchez as new Assistant Coach

Kingsville — Texas A&M-Kingsville announced Monday the hiring of Alex Vazquez-Sanchez as the newest assistant coach for the Javelina volleyball program. A native of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, Vazquez-Sanchez joins the Javelinas from Oakland City University in Indiana, where he served as an assistant coach for the Mighty Oaks during the 2025 season. He previously served as the graduate assistant coach for the Oaks’ men’s volleyball program during its inaugural 2025 season, helping lead the team to a 16-16 record and a berth in the NCCAA National Championship Tournament.
