Cardinals Select Bruce Zimmermann, Place Max Rajcic On 60-Day IL

The Cardinals announced Tuesday that they’ve selected the contract of lefty Bruce Zimmermann from Triple-A Memphis. Reliever Ryan Fernandez has been optioned to Memphis to clear a spot on the active roster. In order to open a 40-man roster spot, the Cards placed righty Max Rajcic on the 60-day injured list due to an unspecified right elbow issue.
