Saffire Sayre first WSC women’s golfer named CSC Academic All-America First Team

Wayne State College women’s golfer Saffire Sayre was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Team announced Tuesday morning and selected by College Sports Communicators, earning First Team honors. She is the first-ever Wildcat women’s golfer to receive Academic All-America First Team honors through a program that recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. A graduate of West Des Moines Valley High School in Iowa, Sayre produced a 4.00 grade point average this season majoring in applied math with an emphasis in mathematics and a minor in business administration.
