Football Hauls in 14 Selections to Athlon Sports Preseason All-CUSA Team

MIAMI — FIU’s football program received a total of 14 student-athletes named to the 2026 Preseason All-CUSA Team, as released by Athlon Sports. The Panthers had five members selected to Athlon’s First Team Preseason All-CUSA and a combined nine players tabbed to the Second, Third and Fourth Teams. On the First Team, Anthony Carrie earned a selection to the Offense. Defensively, the star FIU trio of Kenton Simmons, Josiah Taylor and Shamir Sterlin all received First Team picks.
