RPI Softball Announces Departure of Head Coach Amber Maisonet
TROY, N.Y. – After serving as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s interim head softball coach in 2011 before officially taking over the program for the 2012 season, Amber Maisonet has resigned to accept the head coaching position at Eastern Connecticut State University. Maisonet leaves RPI as the winningest coach in program history, compiling a 398-186-1 overall record while establishing the Engineers as one of the premier programs in the Liberty League. During her tenure, she guided RPI to six Liberty League regular-season championships, two Liberty League Tournament titles, and four NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program’s first NCAA at-large bid in 2023.…
