Amaya Battle Signs Professional Contract with Logiman Broni in Italy

MINNEAPOLIS – Former University of Minnesota women’s basketball standout Amaya Battle has signed a contract with Logiman Broni of Italy’s Serie A1. Battle, a Hopkins, Minn. native, concludes a decorated four-year career in the Maroon and Gold as one of the most impactful playmakers in Golden Gopher history. Battle leaves a mark on the Minnesota record books. She is the only player in Gopher history to finish a career with more than 1,500 points, 775 rebounds, and 590 assists.
