Christopher Newport Sophomore Madison McKenzie Hauls in VaSID All-State Honors

RICHMOND, Va. — Following a breakout second season for the Captains, Christopher Newport’s Madison McKenzie punctuates the year with a second team All-State certificate from the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID). It marks the 13th consecutive year that Christopher Newport boasts at least one All-State selection. McKenzie was named a third team All-Region selection and became the first sophomore since 2020 to garner the recognition. She also earned Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was a first team All-C2C selection.
